The Maritime Alps are a must for MTB lovers (muscular and electric).
The region around Limone Piemonte offers many opportunities for cyclists.
Many trails of varying degrees of difficulty, former cross-border military dirt roads that climb into a unique alpine flora thanks to the position of the mountain with respect to the nearby sea; the spearhead of this territory is the spectacular "Via del Sale" which connects the alpine Limone Piemonte to the sea of Sanremo (and Ventimiglia): an epic experience (90 km, with difference in altitude +1.650mt, and -3.420mt).
Naturally, cyclists too, with road and gravel bikes, have numerous itineraries on which to test their "leg".
Colle di Tenda, the Pilone del Moro, are just some of the climbs touched by the professionals of the Giro d'Italia.

Clockwise or counterclockwise? The decision is up to you
In the heart of the Maritime Alps, from Limone you go up to Colle di Tenda (km 13) and from here there are 2 wonderful itineraries (with various variations): the Alta Via del Sale develops clockwise: pedal towards the Ligurian Alps and the karstic mountains of Marguareis to descend into Val Roya, in the French locality of Tende (Fr); anticlockwise, you pedal in the Valley of Wonders, touching the forts that dominate the Riserva Bianca, to then reach the Baisse de Peyrefique and d'Ourne (Valley of Wonders) and descend to Tende (Fr).
Here, a very comfortable train (delle Meraviglie), part of the spectacular Cuneo/Nice line, returns to Limone Piemonte. For those who don't feel tired, they can avoid the train, climbing a further 1,000m in altitude. and almost 30km. For these experiences, the use of E-MTBs and medium-level technical preparation are recommended. Alta Via del Sale: km 66, D+ 1.560mt, D- 2.560mt. Valle delle Meraviglie: 29 km, D+460m, D- 1,450m (data taken from the Chalet delle Marmotte/Colle di Tenda).

The Limone Piemonte mountain bike school is made up of qualified instructors for teaching and accompanying you on a mountain bike.
From beginners to freeride adventures, with MTB (muscle and electric), Gravel and road bikes, every lover of this activity will find the right offer for him.
Organized to the top with a very varied weekly program, which includes a different excursion every day, which develop on the Alta Via del Sale, in the Valle delle Meraviglie, on the slopes of the Riserva Bianca and among the various chalets and alpine huts present in our territory.

For the rental of suitable equipment, we rely on our trusted partners in Limone Piemonte who guarantee high-level and top-prepared bikes! Excellent equipment is essential for the success and enjoyment of our proposals.
